Dr. Robert Taber ~ Historian ~ 2017-2019
Robert Taber is an assistant professor of Government and History at Fayetteville State University, with a PhD in Latin American History from the University of Florida. At Fayetteville State, he serves in the Faculty Senate and is the alternate campus delegate to the University of North Carolina’s Faculty Assembly. He has been involved in faith-based political organizing on a national scale since 2011 and in Fayetteville sits on the board of the Lafayette Society and was founding chair of Cape Fear Indivisible. He serves Fayetteville PRIDE as the Historian and assists with community partnerships, publicity, and youth outreach.
